Introduction

A shadow stretched across a rough land. The trees were thrashing wildly in the tornado-like wind. The clouds swooped by through the sheets of rain that crashed down upon the ground. The sky was darker than hell itself. In contrast, the lightning was brighter than a flickering flame in a witches’ cauldron.

A hooded figure appeared out of the shadows. The figure approached a large, black castle that seemed so disturbing that you wouldn’t dare go near something like that, in fear that things worse than death can haunt you for eternity. But the figure didn’t care. It simply grinned slyly while its eyes flashed red. The grin was the smile that only a wicked female could do.

But the smile wasn’t your everyday child’s smile upon receiving a new toy. This smile was cruel, and by looking at it, you would hardly feel happy. Looking at it, it would make you feel as if all happiness in the world was gone, and that you where trapped in a world where your nightmares had the power to rule over all that stood in its way.

The woman knocked a code on the towering, wooden door and entered the castle. Inside the castle, its narrow walls were lit by torches with little flames. The female walked up the long, purple carpet without a trace of fear. The carpet was leading to a small room with a swiftly moving shadow in it. The figure of the shadow was a male Rayian, for he was limbless while you could see the male features through the long, black robe.

The woman came up to the Rayian.

“Mr. Dark, our army is ready. We shall soon be able to proceed with the plan,” she reported.

“Good, but your tone of voice sounds worried. What is the matter?” Mr. Dark asked.

“According to the legend, two people will be born today who can stop us from becoming the rulers of the Land of the Rayians,” the woman whispered.

“Nimue, you assume too much for what children can do. Children can’t stop us, my army will take care of them,” he said.

They both smirked, and everything went pitch black. To Nimue and Mr. Dark, it was the glorious, warm sunlight of a summer day.

“Well, you see, today, according to the legend, two people will be born, who can stop you from becoming rulers of the Land of the Rayians” the woman said in a worried tone.

“Nimue, you worry to much, children can’t stop us, my army will take care of them.” He said.

They both smiled, and everything went pitch black. But to Nimue and Mr. Dark, it was like the glorious sunlight of a summer day.
